St. Joseph's Indian High School, Bangalore was established in 1904 by the Jesuit priests of St.Ignatius of Loyola. It is affiliated to Karnataka State Government's Secondary Education Board. The school curriculum is based on the pattern prescribed by the State Secondary Education Board of the Karnataka State. Courses offered encompass fields of the Life Sciences (Botany, Zoology), the Social Sciences (History, Civics), the Earth Sciences (Geography), the Linguistic Sciences (English, Kannada, Hindi), the Mathematical Sciences (Algebra, Geometry, Arithmetic) and the Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry). Courses are also offered in Physical activity and Moral instruction but are not counted for credit. The school offers classes from Grade 5 through Grade 10. At the end of Grade 10, successful students are awarded the SSLC certificate. St. Joseph's Indian High School, Bangalore has well stocked library and a reading room with over 15000 articles, A well maintained 12ft swimming pool
